Tennis Court Information

The Fairfax Club Estates tennis courts (located at 5601 Snowy Owl Drive) are available from dawn to dusk everyday to all FCE residents. The gate is locked to help prevent vandalism, but keys are available to any resident and can be obtained from the Tennis Committee Chair.

The two tennis courts are maintained for tennis use only. Residents are asked not to use street shoes on the courts nor to use the courts for any purpose other than playing or teaching tennis.

Trash cans are available on the courts for paper and bottles left at the courts. Please clean up after you use the courts.

Courts are used on a first come first serve basis. If, however, someone is waiting to use a court, please limit use to an hour for singles play and to an hour and a half for doubles play.

During the summer, the Junior Program will be occupying the courts on select weekday mornings beginning at the close of public schools through the end of July.

Any questions or suggestions pertaining to the tennis courts or tennis program should be directed to the Tennis Committee Chair.

Dear Tennis Families,

Hello, and welcome to the Fairfax Club Estates (FCE) Junior Summer Tennis Program.  My name is Karrie Kay and I am coordinating this year.  We are thrilled to have 30-year veteran Coach John Myers returning!  Another bit of exciting news; early this summer, our FCE courts will be getting a much-needed resurfacing facelift.  If you would like to register your child for summer tennis, please fill out the attached registration form and return it along with your check, payable to John Myers.  I will place an envelope on my front door for easy drop off @ 10812 James Halley Dr.

We will also be placing an order for FCE tennis t-shirts.  Please see second attachment for t-shirt ordering/payment information.

Our program is open to for rising 1st graders through 18 yrs. of all abilities, who are FCE residents or summer pool members. Classes will be grouped primarily by age/grade, but the coaches may make a different placement if deemed necessary.

Pre-Season Lessons:

Rising 1st – 3rd grade: Mondays, June 5th & 12th from 4:30-5:00

Rising 4th – 6th grade: Mondays, June 5th & 12th from 5: 00-5:30

Middle and High School players:  Mondays, June 5th & 12th from 5:45-6:15

Regular summer lessons will then be held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, beginning Monday, June 19th and continuing through July 20th (weather permitting.) Times coordinate with swim team times/age groups and will most likely be:

8:35-9:35 -9-12 yrs. (rising 4-6th)                              9:35-10:05 -8U (rising 1-3rd)

                                                10:40-11:40 – 13+ (rising 7th+)

*Groups may need to be divided based on the number of participants to allow everyone more hitting time. This will be determined after all registrations are received.

Matches will be played on Wednesday mornings through the Northern Virginia Tennis League and will most likely run through 7/20 (awaiting confirmation.) Players will be selected prior to each match by the coach. It will be communicated at a later date if we have an end-of-season party!

Please feel free to contact me ( or 571-338-6905) if you have any questions. We’re looking forward to the 2023 season!

If you do not want to receive emails in the future, please let me know and I will remove your name from the distribution list.

Thank you,
